In your marketplace, you will offer several types of products grouped by categories.

To allow your sellers to feed their catalog, it is necessary to define these "parent categories" and "subcategories" beforehand. In the "Manage Categories" section of your dashboard, you can delete, add and categorize these categories in the order of your preferences. How can vendors access availability management in their listings

Vendors can access availability management when editing their listing under the item "Listings" in their dashboard:

Prior to this, you must ensure you've set an order type with availability management turned on in your admin panel.

If your providers have existing listings when you enable availability management, those listings will retain their old settings.

How will automatic availability management look like on a listing page

Customers will be see booked/unavailable dates on grey background in the date pickers displayed on the listing page when they're initiating a booking. Those dates cannot be selected.

On online marketplaces, the customer will pay the goods or services by transferring money to a third-party solution. The money is placed in escrow until the order is completed. Then to money is transferred to the supplier (minus the marketplace’s commission if the platform charges service fees).

As a marketplace, you are a trusted third party and you need to be able to act in case of a risk of a delayed delivery, a dispute, or if there’s the possibility of a refund being needed. Unlike, e-commerce websites you don't want to make a direct payment to the vendor because you're not the vendor and in case of a refund being needed you won't be able to act on the money.

Use Paypal For Direct Payments On Your Marketplace

Paypal is an e-commerce payment provider allowing you to offer online payment on your website.

|| Contrary to Stripe Connect or Mangopay, Paypal does not come with an escrow system. The payment is a direct payment to the seller or to your platform depending on your settings.

How to set up Paypal on your marketplace

You can make it possible for your customers to pay a service or a product on your online marketplace through a Paypal.me payment link.

Step 1.

To provide an external payment link, first, you have to deactivate the default payment system on your marketplace (working with Stripe Connect or Mangopay).

In Settings / Order types / Transactions, set "Enable payment to "No":

On the checkout page, we recommend you inform the customer that an offline payment will be required after his booking request is accepted. You can customize the checkout page in Settings / Order Types / Manage Booking Form:

Step 2.

You should now customize the automatic email sent to the customer after his order is accepted. In this email, you can integrate the Paypal.me link, so the customer can pay the order amount right away.

To get to the to webhook functionality go to your administrator dashboard

Choose the event you would like to subscribe to and add the URL you would like the data to be sent to. Click on save changes your webhook has now been created and added to the list of webhooks you have subscribed to
